HOW TO RESOURCE: Boliy Pro3600Si Fuel & Engine-Oil Recommendations |
|
 |
In this section, you will find information on the following:
RECOMMENDED FUEL
RECOMMENDED ENGINE-OIL
OIL-FILL LEVELS
RECOMMENDED FUEL:
For best results, use unleaded fuel with an octane rating of 86 or higher. At high-altitude operation, premium fuel may be desirable for maximum engine efficiency.
WARNING: Never fill fuel tank beyond the top of fuel filter; when the engine heats up, expanding fuel may leak from tank:
Keep in mind also that:
A)Any fuel spilled on tank or engine should be wiped up before generator is started.
B)Gas cap should be tightened securely after fueling to protect against contamination and accidental spills.
RECOMMENDED ENGINE-OIL:
When you receive your Boliy generator, it will be emptied of all liquids. Before generator will start, crankcase must be filled with appropriate level of motor oil.
Theoretically your generator should not operate with insufficient oil levels. In rare instances, generator's low-oil shut-down may not be functioning; to be safe, always check oil levels by eye prior to operation.
ENGINE-OIL VISCOSITY:
For best results, we recommend using SAE 10W-30 weight motor oil with an API rating of SH/CC or better. Check oil container for appropriate stamp before purchase.
If your generator will be used in extremely hot conditions(95 degrees F or above), then consider using SAE 10W-40 weight oil instead.
OIL-FILL LEVELS:
When the engine oil reaches upper half of filler-tube threads, oil levels are ideal. Try not to overfill. Even an extra capful of unnecessary oil can make a small engine sluggish.
TIP: if you can, try measuring oil prior to filling. Remember that your Boliy Pro3600si generator takes 0.6L or 0.63 U.S. quarts!
